The summary.

ON HOMEPAGES

Say plainly what the business does, at the top. Not a slogan, not a slideshow — people see the first panel and rarely wait.

Test by showing it for five seconds and asking what the business does.

SHOW PRICES

It is the most searched-for information and the most commonly hidden.

For custom work, give a range or say what it depends on. "Contact us" alone loses people who will not.

PUT THE PHONE NUMBER FIRST ON CONTACT PAGES

Tappable, never in an image. Most enquiries here arrive by phone or messaging.

Include a landmark as well as an address — it matters more for navigation here.

Test your own contact form monthly. Broken forms are common and silent.

LIMIT OPTIONS AND RECOMMEND ONE

Beyond three or four, people struggle to choose and frequently choose nothing.

ONBOARDING SHOULD REACH THE FIRST USEFUL OUTCOME

Not tour the features. Anything requiring explanation is a design problem deferred.

CONFIRMATIONS PREVENT SUPPORT REQUESTS

Include a reference, what happened, and what comes next. Doubt causes repeat submissions.

WHAT BUILDS TRUST HERE

A real address, real photographs, named people, a working number, and clear prices.

A copyright notice several years old suggests the business is closed.
