PUBLIC_HTML

The folder whose contents are served publicly on your main domain.

Anything placed here can be reached by anyone with the address.

DOCUMENT ROOT

The folder a particular domain serves from.

FILE MANAGER

The cPanel tool for browsing and editing files without an FTP client.

FTP

File Transfer Protocol. A way to upload and download files.

Use the encrypted versions, FTPS or SFTP.

SSH

Secure Shell. Command-line access to a server.

CRON JOB

A task scheduled to run automatically at set times.

SOFTACULOUS

A tool for installing applications such as WordPress in a few clicks.

AUTOSSL

The cPanel feature that issues and renews certificates automatically.

Must be run after adding any domain or subdomain.

TERMINAL

Command-line access within cPanel, where enabled.

The number of requests your account can handle simultaneously.
