Sub-accounts give colleagues access to the parts of the account relevant to them.

CREATING ONE

Account > Contacts > Add New Contact. Enter their details, tick "Activate Sub-Account", set a password, and choose permissions.

THE PERMISSIONS

Modify Master Account Profile View and Manage Contacts View Products and Services Place New Orders and Upgrades Manage Product Passwords Perform Single Sign-On into cPanel View and Pay Invoices View and Open Support Tickets View and Manage Domains Manage Affiliate Account

GRANT THE MINIMUM

A developer usually needs services, cPanel single sign-on and tickets, and nothing to do with billing. An accountant usually needs invoices only. A business partner may need everything.

WHY THIS BEATS SHARING A LOGIN

Individual credentials that can be revoked individually, individual two-factor authentication, notifications reaching the right person, and a record of who did what.

REVIEW IT

Remove sub-accounts when people leave. Dormant access is a common route into accounts and removing it takes seconds.

The registered account holder remains the owner regardless of sub-accounts.
