THE FIRST THING TO CHANGE

Settings, then show hidden files.

Leave it enabled.

THE EDITOR

Useful for small changes. It has a code editor with syntax highlighting.

BEFORE EDITING ANYTHING

Copy the file first. Right-click, copy, then edit the original.

Restoring from a copy takes seconds.

WHAT TO BE CAREFUL WITH

Delete. There is no undo beyond the trash, and that may be disabled.
