Diagnosing cache issues.

THE COMMON SYMPTOMS

Changes you made do not appear A visitor sees someone else's content The cart empties or shows wrong items A form submits but nothing happens Logged-in users see logged-out content

WHAT TO DO FIRST

Clear the cache. That resolves most of these.

IF CHANGES DO NOT APPEAR

Clear the site cache Clear your browser cache, or use a private window Check whether a CDN is also caching

Three layers may hold a copy.

IF CART OR ACCOUNT PAGES BREAK

Those pages are being cached and should not be.

Add them to the exclusion list.

IF SOMETHING BROKE AFTER ENABLING MINIFICATION

Disable minification. It is the most common cause of a site breaking after enabling caching.

Re-enable options one at a time to find the culprit.

FOR TESTING

Always test logged out, in a private window.

Logged-in behaviour differs.
