Where your visitors actually are.

THE REALITY

The large majority of Nigerian web traffic is mobile, frequently on constrained connections and metered data.

A site tested only on a desktop is failing most of its visitors.

WHAT THIS MEANS PRACTICALLY

Compress images aggressively. A visitor paying for data notices a heavy page. Text at least sixteen pixels, with strong contrast, readable outdoors Phone number tappable Forms usable with a thumb Nothing requiring horizontal scrolling

TESTING PROPERLY

On an actual mid-range phone, on mobile data, outdoors in daylight.

Not a resized desktop browser. The difference is substantial.

DATA COST

A page of several megabytes costs your visitor money. That is a reason to leave, and they will not tell you.

Compressing images is the single largest improvement available to most sites.

WHATSAPP

For many businesses, a WhatsApp button converts better than any form. Add it if someone will actually answer.

THE TEST

Load your homepage on a phone with data saving enabled. If it is slow or awkward, that is what most of your customers experience.
