WHAT THE SITE IS FOR

Showing work, and making it easy to commission you.

THE WORK COMES FIRST

Portfolio prominent, with minimal interface around it. Visitors came to see the work.

IMAGES

Quality matters, and so does speed. A portfolio taking ten seconds to load undermines the work it displays.

Resize properly, compress, and lazy load.

CONTEXT

For each piece: what it was, who it was for, what you did. A gallery of images with no context is less persuasive than a few projects explained.

ABOUT

For creative work, people are hiring you specifically. A real photograph and a genuine account of how you work matter.

CONTACT

Obvious and easy. A portfolio with a hidden contact page is a common and self-defeating mistake.

PRICING

Difficult in creative work. At minimum, explain how projects typically work and what affects cost.

PROTECTING WORK

You cannot prevent copying. Publishing at moderate resolution is the practical compromise.

MAINTENANCE

Update it. A portfolio showing work from four years ago suggests you have not worked since.
