Doing it consistently.
BEFORE CREATING ONE
Does this warrant its own page, or does it belong on an existing one? Would anyone search for it? Where does it fit in the structure?
WHEN YOU CREATE IT
Write a descriptive page title Write a meta description Use the same heading and formatting styles as existing pages Add a clear next step Add it to the navigation, or link to it from a relevant existing page
THE STEP PEOPLE SKIP
Linking to it. A page reachable only by typing its address is invisible to both visitors and search engines.
Link to it from at least one existing page.
IMAGES
Resized and compressed before uploading, with alt text.
CHECKING IT
Read it on a phone Check the links work Check it looks consistent with other pages
AFTERWARDS
If it matters, request indexing in Search Console rather than waiting.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Create pages in bulk to appear substantial. Thin pages dilute the site.
