The steps, in order.

BEFORE STARTING

Create a Paystack account and complete their business verification. Settlement requires a verified account and a bank account in the business's name.

INSTALLING

  1. Plugins > Add New, search for the official Paystack WooCommerce plugin, install and activate.
  2. WooCommerce > Settings > Payments, and enable Paystack.
  3. Click Manage.

CONFIGURING

Enter your test and live API keys from the Paystack dashboard Start in test mode Set the title and description customers see at checkout Copy the webhook URL shown and add it in your Paystack dashboard

THE WEBHOOK MATTERS

Without it, payments may succeed at Paystack while the order stays unpaid in WooCommerce, because your site never hears the confirmation. Set it up and confirm it works.

TESTING

Place a test order using Paystack's test cards. Confirm the order moves to processing and the confirmation email arrives.

GOING LIVE

Switch to live keys, turn off test mode, and place one real order with a small amount. Refund it afterwards. Do not skip this.
