Android varies by manufacturer, but the fields are always the same.

THE STEPS

  1. Open Gmail or your mail app, and add an account.
  2. Choose Other or Personal (IMAP), not the Google option.
  3. Enter the full email address, tap Manual Setup, and choose Personal (IMAP).
  4. Enter the password.
  5. Incoming: server mail.yourdomain.com, username the FULL email address, security SSL/TLS, port 993.
  6. Outgoing: server mail.yourdomain.com, security SSL/TLS, port 465, with "Require sign-in" enabled and the same username and password.
  7. Set the sync frequency and finish.

IF IT WILL NOT CONNECT

Try port 587 with STARTTLS for outgoing, which some mobile networks prefer. Confirm the username is the full address. If the domain is not yet resolving to us, use the server hostname from your welcome email instead.

BATTERY AND SYNC

Push or frequent sync drains battery. Every fifteen minutes suits most business use and is a reasonable compromise.
