Marketplace Fees, Commission & Payouts

ZillionKingHost keeps marketplace pricing straightforward. Buyers know exactly what they are paying, while sellers only pay a commission when their domain successfully sells.

Buyers

Buyers pay the agreed purchase price, plus any applicable taxes.

There is no separate buyer's premium. The amount shown at checkout represents the total amount payable, excluding any clearly disclosed applicable taxes or charges.

Sellers

Listing a domain is free.

A marketplace commission is charged only when your domain successfully sells. The commission is deducted directly from your sale proceeds, so you don't need to pay the commission upfront.

How Commission Works

Marketplace commission rates are tiered according to the final sale price.

Higher-value sales may qualify for lower commission rates.

The applicable commission rate is applied to the entire sale amount, rather than calculating different rates across separate portions of the transaction.

For example, if your sale falls within a particular commission tier, that tier's rate applies to the full eligible sale amount.

The current commission rates are displayed in the Domain Marketplace and on the listing form, allowing you to see your estimated net proceeds before publishing your listing.

Domain Renewals Are Separate

Marketplace commission applies to the sale of the domain.

It does not cover domain renewal fees.

If your listed domain approaches expiration while it is for sale, you remain responsible for keeping the domain registered and renewed.

Getting Paid

Seller payouts follow a simple process:

  1. The domain transfer is completed or confirmed.
  2. Your net proceeds are credited to your seller balance.
  3. You request a payout through your Seller Dashboard, or use the available balance toward eligible ZillionKingHost invoices.

Payouts are based on completed transfers, not simply on the buyer making payment.

A marketplace transaction isn't considered fully completed until the buyer has successfully received the domain.

Taxes

Where applicable, taxes are calculated during checkout and displayed separately.

A corresponding tax invoice or transaction record may be available in your ZillionKingHost client area.

If you're selling as a registered business, keep your business and tax information up to date so that your marketplace records and invoices can be generated correctly.

Your Sales Records

Your Seller Dashboard provides a record of your marketplace activity, including:

  • Gross sale amount
  • Marketplace commission
  • Net proceeds
  • Seller balance
  • Payout history
  • Transaction details

You can also export your transaction records where supported, making it easier to maintain your business and accounting records.

Know your costs before you list, and know your expected proceeds before you sell.
