A forwarder sends mail arriving at one address on to another. It uses no storage of its own.
CREATING ONE
cPanel > Forwarders > Add Forwarder. Enter the address, choose the domain, and enter the destination.

THE PROBLEM WITH FORWARDING TO GMAIL AND OUTLOOK
The receiving provider sees mail arriving from our server on behalf of the original sender. That can fail SPF checks, so the message lands in spam or bounces.
If mail forwarded to Gmail disappears, do not forward. Instead set the mailbox up properly in Gmail using "Check mail from other accounts", which collects the mail rather than having it pushed.
FORWARDER OR MAILBOX?
Use a forwarder when nobody needs to send FROM that address. Use a mailbox when they do.
