HOW TO RECOMMEND WELL
Say why, from experience. "I host my own sites there and support answers quickly" is more persuasive than a bare link. Be honest about limitations. Overselling produces a customer who cancels, which reverses the reward anyway. Tell them you receive something for the referral. Most people do not mind, and hiding it looks worse than disclosing it.
TESTING
Click your own link in a private browsing window occasionally to confirm it works. A broken link earns nothing and you will not be told.
