What can and cannot be undone.
HOSTING
Where a money-back period applies to the product, a refund may be available within it. Open a ticket with the invoice number and the reason.
Otherwise, request cancellation at the end of the billing period so you are not charged again, having taken your backups first.
DOMAINS
Not reversible. When you register a domain, the registry fee is spent immediately and the registration is made in your name. No registrar can undo this.
If you registered the wrong name, you own it. Let it lapse at the end of the term, or use it as a redirect to the correct domain.
ADD-ONS
Cancellable, usually at the end of the billing period. Refunds depend on the add-on and the terms.
WRONG PLAN ORDERED
Use Upgrade/Downgrade rather than cancelling and reordering. The proration handles the difference and you keep your account.
THE PRACTICAL LESSON
Two minutes checking the cart before paying prevents nearly all of this, particularly for domains where nothing can be undone afterwards.
