Choosing a Hosting Plan at Checkout Print

Four things decide which plan fits.

HOW MANY WEBSITES

Entry plans typically allow one. If you run several, or build sites for clients, you need a plan allowing multiple domains, or reseller hosting.

HOW MUCH SPACE

A brochure site uses very little. An image-heavy site, a shop with thousands of product photos, or several mailboxes with years of attachments use a great deal. Email shares the same allowance as the website.

HOW MUCH TRAFFIC

Shared plans include CPU, memory and entry-process allowances. A busy shop consumes far more per visitor than a static site.

WHAT SOFTWARE

WordPress with a page builder and WooCommerce is considerably more demanding than a simple HTML site.

A SENSIBLE APPROACH

Most new sites are comfortable on an entry or mid plan. You can upgrade at any time without moving servers or downtime, so there is little value in over-buying at the start.

IF UNSURE

Open a Sales ticket describing what you intend to run. We will recommend honestly, including telling you when the cheaper plan is sufficient.
