You can renew before the due date, and for domains it is often wise.

WHY RENEW EARLY

You will be away around the renewal date You want to lock in the current price before a known increase You want to reduce the number of dates you track A domain matters enough that you do not want to rely on a single renewal event

HOW

Pay the renewal invoice as soon as it is generated. For domains, Domains > My Domains offers a renewal option, and most extensions allow renewal for multiple years up to ten years ahead.

MULTI-YEAR DOMAIN RENEWAL

Adds the years to the existing expiry date. Nothing is lost by renewing early.

HOSTING

Paying an invoice early simply settles it. To move to a longer cycle, open a ticket or use the upgrade option, and the difference is prorated.

WHAT NOT TO DO

Do not pay an invoice twice thinking it extends the term further. Duplicates have to be refunded or credited.

If you want to renew for longer than the invoice covers, ask in a ticket rather than paying repeatedly.
