A dedicated IP assigns your account its own address rather than sharing one.

WHEN IT IS GENUINELY USEFUL

A third-party service requires a fixed, unshared IP address for whitelisting A specific application or compliance requirement calls for it You want mail-sending reputation independent of other accounts, though a dedicated sending provider is usually the better answer

WHEN IT IS NOT NEEDED

For SSL. AutoSSL works on shared IPs. For SEO. No ranking benefit. For speed. No difference.

ORDERING

Services > My Services > click the service > Addons, or open a ticket.

WHAT TO KNOW

The IP carries its own reputation, which cuts both ways If your account is migrated to a different server, the IP changes and anything keyed to it needs updating Firewall rules and third-party whitelists referencing it must be updated at the same time

BEFORE ORDERING

Tell us what you are trying to achieve in a ticket. Frequently the requirement can be met without one, and we would rather say so than sell you something unnecessary.
