Promotions apply to the term they specify.

WHAT TO CHECK

Whether the discount applies to the first term only, which is usually the case Whether it applies to the billing cycle you want Whether it covers renewals What the standard price is, which is what you will pay afterwards

WHERE TO SEE THE RENEWAL FIGURE

The cart shows both today's total and the recurring amount. After ordering, Services > My Services shows the recurring amount that will actually be invoiced.

MAKING THE MOST OF IT

Where a promotional rate applies to longer terms, buying a longer initial term locks in the lower price for longer. This is usually the best value a promotion offers.

DOMAINS IN PROMOTIONS

First-year domain pricing is frequently promotional while renewal is at the standard registry-driven rate. For newer extensions the difference can be substantial. Check the renewal price before registering.

DECIDING LATER

If the renewal price does not suit you when it arrives, decide before the due date. Downgrade, or cancel cleanly with backups taken. Letting it lapse by inaction produces a suspension you did not intend.
