Expiry follows a fixed sequence set by the registry.
STAGE 1 - EXPIRED
The domain stops resolving. Your website and email go offline immediately, even though the hosting is untouched and working.
STAGE 2 - GRACE PERIOD
For a period after expiry, renewal at the normal price is usually still possible. This is where to act if you can.
STAGE 3 - REDEMPTION
Recovery now requires a registry redemption fee, typically many times the renewal price, plus the renewal itself. The fee is set by the registry and cannot be waived or reduced by us.
STAGE 4 - PENDING DELETE
A short final stage during which nothing can be done.
STAGE 5 - RELEASED
The domain becomes available for anyone to register. Dropcatching services monitor expiring domains and register valuable ones within seconds of release.
IF YOURS HAS EXPIRED
Open a ticket with the domain name immediately. We will check its exact status with the registry and tell you the cost and the deadline. Every day matters.
THE ONLY RELIABLE PROTECTION
Auto-renewal, a valid card, a monitored contact email that is not on the domain in question, and renewal dates noted outside the system.
