.ng, .com.ng, .org.ng, .net.ng and others have their own eligibility rules, pricing and procedures. Some categories require documentation, and registration may be manual rather than instant.
.edu.ng and .gov.ng are restricted to qualifying institutions and bodies.
OTHER RESTRICTED EXTENSIONS
Many country-code and specialist extensions require a local presence, a specific business type, a trademark, or a professional qualification. Registries verify these and reject applications that do not qualify.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Registration may take days rather than minutes. You may be asked for supporting documents. Supply them promptly, as the application waits. If the registry rejects the application, recoverability of the fee depends on that registry's rules. Transfer and renewal procedures may differ from the generic process.
