Occasionally an order is placed but the registration does not complete.
COMMON REASONS
The domain was registered by someone else between your search and your payment. Popular names go quickly, and availability results are a snapshot. The extension has eligibility requirements you do not meet, such as a local presence or a business category. Required documentation was not supplied for a restricted extension. The registrant contact details were incomplete or failed validation. The registry rejected the name under its own policies, for example reserved or restricted terms. A technical failure at the registry.
WHAT HAPPENS
The order shows as pending or failed and we contact you. Where the registration genuinely could not be made, the charge is normally reversed or credited, since no registry fee was incurred.
This differs from a successful registration you later regret, which is not refundable.
WHAT TO DO
Reply to the ticket with whatever was requested, or choose an alternative name.
AVOIDING IT
Complete your registrant details accurately before ordering, check eligibility for restricted extensions in advance, and act quickly on a name you want rather than searching repeatedly over days.
