Registering a Domain With Us Print

Registration is part of an order, or can be added at any time.

REGISTERING ONE

  1. Search for the name from the Client Area or the website.
  2. Confirm it is available and check both the registration and the renewal price.
  3. Add it to your order, choosing the registration period. Longer periods lock in the price and reduce the chance of an accidental lapse.
  4. Enter or confirm the registrant contact details. These are held at the registry and are separate from your Client Area profile.
  5. Enable ID protection where the extension supports it.
  6. Pay.

AFTER REGISTRATION

Most generic extensions register within minutes. Some country-code and restricted extensions take longer and may require documentation.

The domain appears under Domains > My Domains, where you can set nameservers, manage DNS, and enable auto-renewal.

CHECK THE SPELLING BEFORE PAYING

Domain registrations are not refundable. Once registered, the registry fee is spent and the registration is made in the name you supplied. A typo becomes a domain you own and do not want.

TURN ON AUTO-RENEWAL IMMEDIATELY

It is the single most effective thing you can do to avoid losing the domain later.
