Percentage or fixed amount, with conditions: minimum spend, specific products, usage limits, expiry.
Set usage limits, or a code shared publicly is used without limit.

A code intended for one customer posted on a deals site.
Limit usage per code and per customer.
BULK PRICE CHANGES
Possible through bulk edit or import.
Back up before any bulk change.
TAX
If you charge it, decide whether prices are shown inclusive or exclusive.
Be consistent, and be clear at checkout.
FOR CURRENCY
Set it correctly at the start. Changing later does not convert existing prices.
