MIGRATION
Tell us during ordering or open a ticket afterwards.
Provide access to the current hosting, or a backup.
WHAT MOVES
Files, databases and site content.
Email mailbox contents need separate attention; they do not move with a website backup.
Download them by IMAP before switching.
THE DNS STEP
Once the site is working on our servers, change the nameservers at your registrar.
Do not do this first. Test before switching.
DO NOT CANCEL THE OLD HOSTING
Until the move is verified and DNS has fully propagated. A week is sensible.
IF EMAIL IS INVOLVED
Tell us before changing nameservers. Mail is what breaks most often during a migration.
