WHEN IT IS NOT
For SSL. Modern certificates work perfectly on shared addresses. For search rankings. It makes no difference.
Both claims are common and untrue.
HOW TO ORDER
Available as an option during hosting checkout, or add it later.
Open a ticket if it is not visible as an option.
AFTER ORDERING
Your account is moved to the dedicated address. Your DNS records must be updated to match.
If we manage your DNS, we handle that.
If your DNS is elsewhere, you must update the A records.
REVERSE DNS
With a dedicated address, we can set reverse DNS for you. Open a ticket with the hostname you want.
