Hosting first, domain later.
WHEN THIS APPLIES
You have not decided on a name You are testing something You will use a subdomain temporarily
HOW
At the domain step during ordering, you may be offered the option to use a subdomain of our domain, or to add a domain later.
If the option is not offered, register a domain or use one you own.
WORKING WITHOUT A DOMAIN
Your welcome email includes the server hostname and address, which let you reach cPanel and build your site before a domain points at it.
You can also test using a hosts file entry on your own computer.
ADDING A DOMAIN LATER
Register it, or point an existing one at us, then add it to your hosting account in cPanel.
WHAT TO DO AFTERWARDS
Run AutoSSL once the domain resolves Update your site's configured address if you built it on a temporary hostname Create your email accounts
THE PRACTICAL ADVICE
Deciding the domain first is usually simpler. If you are uncertain, ask us.
