THE APPROACH
You can order hosting and transfer the domain in the same order.
At the domain step, choose to transfer a domain to us.
WHAT YOU NEED
The authorisation code from the current registrar The domain unlocked A reachable registrant email address
THE TIMING
Hosting is set up quickly. The domain transfer takes five to seven days.
During that period the domain still points wherever it did before.
WHAT TO DO IN THE MEANTIME
Build your site on the hosting using the temporary access details in your welcome email, or by changing nameservers at the current registrar before the transfer completes.
Changing nameservers and transferring are separate actions. You can do either first.
THE PRACTICAL ORDER
If you want the site live quickly, change the nameservers at the current registrar immediately, and let the transfer complete in its own time.
AFTER THE TRANSFER
The domain appears in your Client Area and renews with us.
IF THE TRANSFER FAILS
Usually the lock or the authorisation code. Open a ticket.
