Moving a domain from another registrar.
BEFORE STARTING
At the current registrar:
Unlock the domain Obtain the authorisation code, sometimes called an EPP code or transfer key Ensure the registrant email address is one you can receive mail at Check the domain is not within sixty days of registration or a previous transfer, which blocks transfers
THE TRANSFER
Visit zillionkinghost.com/billing/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer
Enter the domain, add it to the cart, and supply the authorisation code.
Complete checkout as usual.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
The current registrar sends a confirmation request to the registrant email address.
Approve it. The transfer then completes, usually within five to seven days.
WHAT THE TRANSFER INCLUDES
Most transfers add a year to the registration, so you do not lose remaining time.
WHAT TRANSFERS AND WHAT DOES NOT
The registration transfers. DNS records do not.
Note your existing records before transferring, and recreate them.
IF IT FAILS
Usually the lock, the authorisation code, or an unreachable registrant email.
