How Much Time to Spend Print

Being realistic about effort.

THE MINIMUM THAT WORKS

Two or three posts a week, and responding to messages within a day.

Perhaps two hours a week including creating the content.

WHAT PRODUCES MORE

Daily posting and active engagement. Perhaps an hour a day.

Whether that is worthwhile depends on your business.

WHAT DOES NOT WORK

Posting in bursts and disappearing Posting without responding to messages Spending hours on something that produces nothing measurable

THE TIME TRAP

Social media consumes more time than planned, and the time is difficult to account for.

Set a limit and keep to it.

BATCHING

Produce several posts at once and schedule them.

Far more efficient than deciding what to post daily, and it is what makes consistency achievable.

THE RESPONDING PART

Non-negotiable. An unanswered message is a lost customer, and slow responses are visible to others on some platforms.

If you cannot respond, state your hours.

WHEN TO STOP

If a year of consistent effort produces nothing measurable, reconsider.
