cPanel includes several reporting tools under Metrics.

THE TOOLS

  • Visitors: the most recent requests to a domain, with IP address, URL, response code and referrer. Best for investigating something happening right now, such as suspicious traffic.
  • Bandwidth: data transferred by month, split by service (HTTP, POP3, IMAP, FTP). Use it to track how close you are to your plan's monthly allowance.
  • AWStats: visual reports by month: visits, pages, referrers, search terms, browsers and countries.
  • Raw Access: downloadable complete logs for detailed analysis.
  • Errors: recent error log entries.

A NOTE ON ACCURACY

These tools count every request that reaches the server, including bots, crawlers and monitoring services. The numbers are usually much higher than a JavaScript analytics tool would report, because Google Analytics only counts real browsers that execute scripts.

Use cPanel statistics for server and bandwidth questions, and Google Analytics or a privacy-focused alternative for genuine audience numbers.

If you use Cloudflare, cached requests never reach our server, so cPanel statistics will undercount traffic. Use the Cloudflare dashboard for the complete picture.
