Every domain on your account is entitled to a free certificate, renewed automatically.
ISSUING IT
- Point the domain at the nameservers shown in your Client Area. AutoSSL cannot validate a domain that does not resolve to the server.
- In cPanel open SSL/TLS Status under Security.
- Tick the domains and subdomains that need a certificate.
- Click "Run AutoSSL".
- Wait a few minutes and refresh. A green padlock means it is active.
Renewal is automatic, roughly a month before expiry. No action is needed from you.
IF AUTOSSL FAILS
The domain is not yet resolving to our server. Wait for propagation and retry. The domain is proxied through Cloudflare in a mode that blocks validation. Set the record to DNS-only temporarily, run AutoSSL, then re-enable proxying. A redirect is intercepting the /.well-known/ path. Check .htaccess for a catch-all redirect placed above the WordPress block. The subdomain does not exist in DNS.
Click the domain name on the SSL/TLS Status page to see the exact reason for the failure. Once issued, force HTTPS from cPanel > Domains.
