Track Delivery shows what happened to messages sent from your account. It answers "did it actually leave?" definitively.
USING IT
- In cPanel open Track Delivery under Email.
- Enter a recipient address to filter, or leave it blank to see recent activity.
- Review the results table.
READING THE RESULTS
- Success (green): the message was accepted by the receiving server. If the recipient says it never arrived, it is in their spam folder or was filtered on their side. The problem is not at our end.
- Deferred (yellow): the receiving server asked us to try again later. Usually temporary, often greylisting.
- Failed (red): rejected. Click the magnifying glass for the exact reason.
COMMON FAILURE REASONS
"User unknown" or "No such user": the address is wrong or no longer exists. "Mailbox full": the recipient's inbox is over quota. "Message rejected as spam" or a blocklist reference: a reputation or authentication problem. Check Email Deliverability for SPF and DKIM. "Relay access denied": authentication is not configured in your mail client.
Attach a screenshot of the relevant row when opening a support ticket about email. It saves considerable time.
