THE POSITION
Stripe does not currently support account registration for Nigerian-registered businesses with Nigerian bank accounts.
That is a Stripe availability matter rather than anything to do with your hosting.
WHO USES IT
Nigerian founders operating through a foreign entity, typically where the business is registered elsewhere and holds a bank account in that country.
Businesses whose customers are predominantly outside Nigeria.
Software and digital product businesses selling internationally.
IF THAT DESCRIBES YOU
Stripe is excellent: strong developer tools, good documentation, wide currency support, and integrations for every major platform.
IF IT DOES NOT
Paystack or Flutterwave are the practical choices, and both handle Nigerian customers considerably better than an international gateway would.
RUNNING BOTH
Some businesses run a Nigerian gateway for local customers and Stripe for international ones, selecting by currency or region.
That adds complexity and is worthwhile only when international sales are substantial.
