The options, honestly compared.

PAYSTACK

Widely used in Nigeria. Supports Nigerian cards, bank transfer and USSD. Settles to Nigerian bank accounts. Maintained plugins for the major platforms.

FLUTTERWAVE

Similar coverage, with broader African reach. Supports cards, bank transfer, USSD and mobile money. Settles to Nigerian accounts.

STRIPE

Excellent for businesses selling internationally, and it does not currently onboard Nigerian-registered businesses directly.

It is used by Nigerian founders operating through a foreign entity, or by businesses whose customers are overseas. If your customers are in Nigeria and your business is registered here, Paystack or Flutterwave are the practical choices.

CHOOSING

For a domestic Nigerian business: Paystack or Flutterwave. Either works well.

For a business selling mainly to overseas customers, with an appropriate corporate structure: Stripe is worth considering.

WHAT TO COMPARE
