PRACTICAL STEPS
Give a second person their own account and SSH key now, while everything works Give them access to the provider account Store credentials in a shared password manager, not one person's notes Write the documentation and keep it somewhere they can reach
TESTING IT
Have the second person perform a routine task: check backups ran, apply updates, restart a service. Gaps surface immediately.
THE ALTERNATIVE
Managed hosting, where the continuity is ours rather than yours. For a small team, that is often the honest answer.
