AutoSSL Notification Emails Print

  • sslcertificateshttps, ssl, email, domain, domainrenewal, cpanel, renewal, suspension
  • 0

cPanel tells you when something needs attention.

WHAT YOU MAY RECEIVE

Notice that AutoSSL could not issue or renew a certificate for one or more domains Notice that a certificate is approaching expiry and renewal has not succeeded Confirmation of certificates issued, where notifications are configured for it

WHERE THEY GO

The contact address set in cPanel > Contact Information. Check this is current and monitored.

Set it to an address not on the domain being hosted. If the hosting is suspended or the domain lapses, a notice sent to an address on that domain cannot reach you.

WHAT TO DO WITH ONE

Do not ignore it. Open cPanel > SSL/TLS Status and click the named domain for the specific reason.

A failure notice that continues for weeks ends with an expired certificate and a browser warning on every visit.

COMMON REASONS FOR REPEATED NOTICES

A domain that no longer points here but is still on the account. Either repoint it, remove it, or exclude it from AutoSSL.
