A dedicated IP assigns an address used solely by your account.

WHAT IT GIVES YOU

An address not shared with other customers on the server. Outbound mail reputation that belongs to you alone. An address you can give to a third party for whitelisting, knowing it will not change through other customers' activity. The ability to run services that require a distinct address.

WHAT IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU

Faster loading Better search rankings SSL that shared IPs cannot already do More disk space, memory or CPU Isolation from the server's other accounts in any resource sense

A dedicated IP changes the address, not the hosting.

HOW TO GET ONE

Services > My Services > click the service > Addons, or open a ticket.

WHAT TO CONSIDER FIRST
