By default your account uses an IP address shared with other accounts on the same server.

Many websites resolve to the same address. The web server distinguishes them by the hostname each browser requests. Every site is served correctly and independently.

Only the address itself. Your files, databases, email and account are entirely separate from every other account.

WHAT IT CAN AFFECT
Outbound email reputation, since mail from the server is associated with the shared address. If another account sends spam, the shared address can be blacklisted, which affects everyone's deliverability until resolved. Rarely, access from networks that block a broad range containing the address.
THE PRACTICAL POSITION
Shared IPs are entirely normal and suit almost every website. The overwhelming majority of sites on the internet are served from shared addresses.
