Commission is conditional on the order standing.
WITHIN THE HOLDING PERIOD
If the referred order is cancelled or refunded before the commission clears, the pending commission is removed. Nothing is deducted from your other earnings; the commission simply never became payable.
AFTER THE COMMISSION HAS CLEARED
Where the terms provide for it, cleared commission may be reversed in cases of refund, chargeback or fraud. Read the terms for the specific position.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Paying commission on orders that are immediately refunded would make the programme unworkable, and it is standard across all affiliate programmes.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU
A proportion of pending commission will not clear. Judge results on cleared earnings over months.
Overclaiming in your content increases refunds, and therefore reduces your own cleared commission. Honest, well-targeted recommendations produce customers who stay, which is what the programme is designed to reward.

If a high proportion of your referrals cancel, look at what your content promises. That is usually where the answer is.
