A short routine.

EQUIPMENT

Firmware current on router and access points Nothing overheating Nothing physically disturbed

DEVICES

Review the connected device list Investigate anything unrecognised Confirm fixed addresses are still correct

PERFORMANCE

Speed test on a cable, recorded Latency and loss noted Compare against previous months

CONNECTION

Any outages this month, and their causes Fallback connection still functional

SECURITY

Guest network still isolated Nothing newly exposed externally Default credentials still changed on new equipment

MONITORING

Alerts reviewed and acted on Certificate and domain expiry dates checked

RECORDS

Any changes made this month documented

WHAT TO RECORD

That the check was done, and anything found.

WHY MONTHLY

Problems found early are cheap. Found during a fault, they are not.
