Bringing existing clients from another host is straightforward if sequenced properly.
THE PROCESS PER ACCOUNT
- Obtain a full cPanel backup from the old host, or their cPanel credentials.
- Create the account in WHM under the right package.
- Restore the backup, or use WHM > Transfers > Transfer or Restore a cPanel Account if the old host also runs cPanel and allows the connection.
- Test using a hosts file entry before anything public changes.
- Create the mailboxes and confirm mail works.
- Change the nameservers.
- Leave the old hosting running for a week.
DOING SEVERAL AT ONCE
Migrate in small batches, not all at once. Something will need attention on each, and handling five is manageable where handling thirty is not.
Schedule the switches for quiet hours, and tell clients in advance what to expect and when.

Do not cancel the old hosting until every account has been verified and DNS has settled.
