BEFORE UPGRADING
Check whether the pressure comes from one account rather than general growth. One uncached busy site or one client storing backups on the server can look exactly like needing a bigger plan.
Clean up first: old backups on the server, cache folders, abandoned accounts, staging copies nobody uses.
HOW TO UPGRADE
Client Area > Services > My Services > the reseller package > Upgrade/Downgrade. Most upgrades apply to the same account with no downtime and no migration.
WHEN TO CONSIDER A VPS INSTEAD
When you need root access, custom server software, control over PHP versions server-wide, or you have grown past what shared reseller plans provide. Bear in mind a VPS transfers server management to you unless you buy it managed.
