Decide your backup position, then implement it properly.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Server-level backups with retention according to your plan. Where JetBackup is available you can restore files or databases from WHM, or from within a client's cPanel. This is a safety net with finite retention, not a client-facing product.
WHAT TO ADD
Per-account backups sent off the server. UpdraftPlus or similar inside each WordPress site, sending to Google Drive or Dropbox, is the common approach.
For non-WordPress accounts, a scheduled cPanel backup downloaded or pushed to remote storage.
Remember that scheduled backups inside WordPress depend on cron, and HTTP wp-cron is blocked on our servers. Set up the real cron job as part of provisioning or the schedule never runs.
RETENTION
Keep several recent copies and at least one monthly. Infections are frequently discovered weeks later, by which time a short retention window holds only infected copies.
TESTING
Restore one to a staging subdomain occasionally. An untested backup is an assumption.
CHARGE FOR IT
Managed backups with guaranteed restore are a service worth paying for. Say what you provide, and price it.
