Most reseller disputes come from an assumption nobody wrote down.
PUT IN WRITING
What the hosting includes: space, bandwidth, email accounts, SSL
What support covers, and what is billable work Your support hours and target response times
Backup responsibility: who takes them, how often, how long they are kept, and who restores
Payment terms, due dates, late consequences and the suspension timeline Notice periods for cancellation by either side What happens to their data when the relationship ends Acceptable use, which should at minimum pass through ours
THE ONES THAT CAUSE TROUBLE
Backups. Clients assume you have one from any date they like. State the reality. Support scope. "My site is broken" may mean a server problem or a plugin the client installed. Say which you fix free. Data on exit. Say how long you keep it and in what form you provide it.
KEEP IT SHORT
Two readable pages that clients actually read beat twenty that nobody opens. The purpose is shared understanding, not legal armour.
