Each client site gets its own account.

CREATING IT

  1. WHM > Account Functions > Create a New Account.
  2. Domain: the client's domain, without www.
  3. Username: generated automatically, or set your own. Keep it recognisable.
  4. Password: use the generator and record it securely.
  5. Email: the client's address, for cPanel notifications.
  6. Package: choose the one you created.
  7. Settings: leave the cPanel theme as default unless you have a reason.
  8. DNS Settings: leave as default so the correct zone is created.
  9. Create.

WHAT YOU GET

A cPanel account with its own login, its own folder structure, its own email and databases, and a DNS zone.

WHAT TO SEND THE CLIENT

Their cPanel URL, username and password, the nameservers to use, and instructions to change the password on first login.

AFTERWARDS

Point the domain at the nameservers, then run AutoSSL from inside that account's cPanel.

RECORD KEEPING

Keep a note of which client holds which account and domain. Once you pass a dozen accounts, memory is not a system.
