Recognising the limit.
THE SIGNS
You have iterated four times without improvement Correcting takes as long as writing The output keeps missing something you cannot articulate You are prompting rather than working
THAT LAST ONE
Elaborate prompting about a task is not doing the task.
WHEN TO STOP
When the effort exceeds the benefit.
That is a legitimate judgement, not a failure.
WHICH TASKS OFTEN DO NOT SUIT IT
Anything requiring precise calculation Anything requiring current specialist knowledge Short pieces where writing is faster than explaining Anything where you cannot evaluate the output Personal communication where the recipient expects you wrote it
WHAT TO DO INSTEAD
Write it yourself, or write the substance and ask for tightening only.
That second option frequently works where full generation does not.
THE HONEST POSITION
Partial adoption is normal. Some tasks work; others do not.
