Invoices are issued in the currency set on your account, and your bank may apply its own conversion.
WHY YOUR STATEMENT MAY NOT MATCH THE INVOICE
If your card is denominated in a different currency from the invoice, your bank converts at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. The debit on your statement therefore differs from the invoice total. That difference comes from your bank, not from us.
WHY PRICES CHANGE
Domain registry fees and many upstream services are priced in US dollars. When the naira moves against the dollar, naira pricing follows. This affects renewals as well as new orders, which is why a renewal may cost more than last year even with no change to the product.
REDUCING THE IMPACT
Pay in the currency your card is issued in where the option exists, avoiding a double conversion. Consider longer billing cycles or multi-year domain registrations, which fix the price for longer. Use a local payment method such as Paystack where it avoids international transaction fees.
IF A PRICE HAS MOVED SHARPLY
Open a ticket and ask. We will explain the specific reason for that product, and tell you whether a longer term at the current rate is available.
