It does not sound right.
WHAT IT USUALLY SOUNDS LIKE
Corporate, enthusiastic, or formal in a way you are not.
THE FIX THAT WORKS BEST
Give examples. Paste two or three pieces you wrote.
"Write in this voice."
That works considerably better than describing the tone.
IF YOU HAVE NO EXAMPLES
Describe the audience rather than the tone.
"Write as though explaining to a customer face to face" produces better results than "make it friendlier".
WHAT TO BAN EXPLICITLY
The phrases that irritate you. Name them.
"Do not use: delve, leverage, landscape, unlock, seamless, game-changer, in today's world."
FOR PERSISTENT PROBLEMS
Build a style brief and paste it into every request.
That solves it permanently rather than each time.
THE LAST RESORT
Edit heavily. Your editing is where your voice actually enters.
