.com.ng, .org.ng, .net.ng and others have their own eligibility rules and pricing. Some require documentation, for example evidence of registration for certain categories. Registration may be manual rather than instant.
OTHER RESTRICTED EXTENSIONS
Many country-code and specialist extensions require a local presence, a specific business type, a trademark, or a professional qualification. Registries verify these, and applications that do not meet the criteria are rejected.
WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE
Registration may take longer than the few minutes a .com takes. You may be asked for supporting documents. Provide them promptly, as the application waits. If the registry rejects the application, the registration fee may not be recoverable, depending on the registry's rules. Transfer and renewal procedures may differ from the generic process.
