We do not obstruct transfers out. Here is the process.
WHAT YOU NEED FROM US
- Client Area > Domains > My Domains > click the domain.
- Unlock the domain using the Registrar Lock setting.
- Request the EPP or authorisation code. It is either displayed or emailed to the registrant address.
- Confirm your registrant email is current, as the approval request goes there.
- Disable WHOIS privacy if it would block that email.
THEN AT THE NEW REGISTRAR
Start the transfer, enter the EPP code, and pay their fee.
TIMING
Most transfers complete within five to seven days. Approving the request when it arrives is quicker.
THINGS TO KNOW
Registry rules block transfers within 60 days of registration or of a previous transfer. Nothing can override this. Your website and email continue working during the transfer if the nameservers are unchanged. If you are also moving hosting, keep the old hosting running until everything has settled. A transfer usually adds a year to the registration, so you do not lose remaining time.
If a code does not arrive or the transfer is rejected, open a ticket and we will identify the specific cause.
